Join Canton Comedy Boom on Saturday Oct. 19 and celebrate our first birthday with us! Headliner, Bill Squire will be taking the stage and bringing the laughs!
We are so grateful for all the love and support that Canton and the comedy community have shown us over the past year. After more than a hundred comedy shows this city still shows up for us. Your constant encouragement and support has helped us remodel the underground performance space at Patina Arts Centre to create Stark County’s only professional comedy theater!
It has been an absolute pleasure sharing our love of all things comedy with you this past year and we’re celebrating with an amazing line-up of comedians, and lots of merch and ticket giveaways!
We’d like to give a huge shout-out to Tony Ly, owner of Basil and Lucca Downtown for sponsoring the show! If you haven’t tried one of his amazing restaurants yet we highly recommend it. Both are located downtown within a short stroll of the show.
Bill Squire:
In 2004, at age 22, Bill was just your regular old ex-communicated Mormon missionary, trying to find his way through life. Returning from a two-year-long mission in the Philippines, Bill found his voice on stage traveling the country telling jokes as he relentlessly pursued stage time.
Bill has several comedy specials and albums that have been viewed and listened to millions of times. He has been seen on Comedy Central, and was a regular cast member on the cult favorite YouTube series, Man in the Box.
He has also appeared on Hulu and Laughs on Fox, and co-hosts his wildly popular podcast Cleveland America with friends Tommi LC and OkPants. We are so excited he’s joining us for our birthday show and we hope to see you there!
Cam Godfrey:
Cam is a stand-up, sketch, and improv comedian who was voted “Loudest Girl” in high school. She’s a regular at Imposters Theater and at comedy shows all over Northeast Ohio. At the 2023 Cleveland Comedy Awards, Cam won the Rookie of the Year Award, and she’s only gotten better since!
Rounding out this all-star birthday bash cast of comics are Cleveland comedy legend and Last Comic Standing contestant, Marty Malloy, and your host and emcee for the evening will be Cleveland comedian, Elliot Jarrous!
