Join Canton Comedy Boom for our Improv Jam at Patina Arts Centre every Saturday!

Whether you’re an experienced improv performer or a noob looking to dip their toes in the water, help us start the next big improv boom in Canton!

What is an improv jam?
It’s like an open mic but for your body and your imagination. The jam will be led by local improv troupe, Brain Fart Royale’s, Eric M. Simons and will be designed to involve all skill levels. Improv is a highly creative and spontaneous art form that requires thinking on your feet and playing well with others. Our goal is to create an exploratory environment for learning and experimenting with improv that is open to everyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age or ability to pay.

Participants will use prompts to create scenes, characters, and dialogue on-the-spot. Improv comedy is the art of the possible–part comedy, part theater, wholly absurd fun! You never know what kind of magic a group of strangers can create with just a little imagination and teamwork!

These improv jams will be free of charge and will run for approximately two hours. There will be a ten person limit at each jam so sign up now to secure your spot!
