Whether you’re an experienced improv performer or a noob looking to dip their toes in the water, help us start the next big improv boom in Canton!
What is an improv jam?
It’s like an open mic but for your body and your imagination. The jam will be led by local improv troupe, Brain Fart Royale’s, Eric M. Simons and will be designed to involve all skill levels. Improv is a highly creative and spontaneous art form that requires thinking on your feet and playing well with others. Our goal is to create an exploratory environment for learning and experimenting with improv that is open to everyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, age or ability to pay.
Participants will use prompts to create scenes, characters, and dialogue on-the-spot. Improv comedy is the art of the possible–part comedy, part theater, wholly absurd fun! You never know what kind of magic a group of strangers can create with just a little imagination and teamwork!

While our open mics and improv jams were created to give comics a chance to practice their craft, all good jokes deserve an audience and we encourage the public to attend. The best part? No cover charge and the drinks are affordable!

Join us every Tuesday at The Daily Pressed for a night of cocktails, coffee, and comedy!
This is a ‘show up, go up’ open mic hosted by Canton Comedy Boom’s K.C. Curry, and a favorite among seasoned comics from both near and far. And thanks to a 20% service industry discount, this open mic is also a favorite for bar and restaurant workers.
Canton Comedy Boom hosts this open mic every Tuesday night. We welcome new and developing comics to try out their material in a peer-supported environment. Some of Ohio’s best comics have used this mic to work on jokes, providing a rare opportunity for the public to experience the talent of up-and-coming comics in this cozy coffee shop.

The Daily Pressed is a European style coffee shop and brunch spot during the day, and a full-service cocktail bar by night. The bar also offers burger and quesadilla specials during the open mic. And because it shares a building with Twisted Tomato Pizzeria and Beer Wall our guests can easily order drinks and food from either establishment to enjoy during the show.

The Karma Social Lounge
Join us every 1st and 3rd Monday for the Karma Social Open Mic, hosted by Canton Comedy Boom’s K.C. Curry!
This is a ‘show up, go up’ open mic, and we welcome first-timers and the comedy curious to come and hang out with their fellow funny people and to try their material in a peer-supported environment. We also invite the public to join us for this intimate show, and to enjoy a drink from Karma’s extensive list of cocktails.
