The Females of Comedy are a dynamic troupe of talented comedians hailing from Northeast Ohio, united under the visionary leadership of Lydia Carmany in the summer of 2022. Originally rooted in Canton, this vibrant group has expanded its comedic footprint to include performances in Cleveland, Youngstown, Akron, and Columbus.

Several founding members of The Females of Comedy also played pivotal roles in establishing Canton Comedy Boom. While both organizations share a common goal of fostering comedy in Northeast Ohio, FOC uniquely emerged as a central hub for female-led comedy in the traditionally male-dominated realm of stand-up comedy production. These versatile women, with diverse backgrounds, have taken charge of producing, marketing, and executing their own shows, aiming shamelessly for the glass ceiling.

Addressing a wide spectrum of topics, their comedy reflects the richness of their collective experiences. From witty observations about work and travel to poignant and ironic moments in motherhood and post-divorce dating, the Females of Comedy illuminate the tragicomedy of life through a distinctly female lens.
